The fight to save endangered species is paying off! Thanks to science-driven conservation, Magnolia dixonii, a tree found only in the Ecuadorian Chocó, has been officially downlisted from Critically Endangered (CR) to Endangered (EN) on the IUCN Red List. Every year we discover new species, we rediscover species thought to have already been lost to extinction, and we bring species back from the brink. We protect and restore wildlife habitat from Amazon rainforests to high Andean paramos, into the wet Chocó and the dry Tumbes, and across the ocean to the Galápagos.

Our Chakana Reserve supports 30% of all the Andean Condors found in Ecuador.
In only 25 years, the length of one human generation, natural regrowth in Canandé Reserve has resulted in wildlife returning to once-desolated places in a diversity that matches that seen in old-growth rainforests.
In the Ayampe Reserve at the Pacific coast, we increased the number of sea turtle nests at least twelve-fold in 10 years, and the number of young turtles reaching the ocean every year has increased 100-fold.
Our Canandé Reserve in the Chocó supports the only healthy population of Jaguars in western Ecuador.
