Donate to Jocotoco Conservation Foundation
Below you can see many ways to give to the Jocotoco Conservation Foundation, a US tax-exempt non-profit organization, under the section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. EIN: 83-2027203. The mission of Jocotoco Conservation Foundation is to conserve biodiversity, especially threatened species and ecosystems, guided by scientific evidence and local leadership. Jocotoco Conservation Foundation accepts contributions restricted by donors for particular purposes but does not accept contributions that are earmarked for individual grantees. All donations are subject to the exclusive discretion and control of the Jocotoco Conservation Foundation in furtherance of the foundations charitable purposes. For restricted gifts, no more than 10% of your donation will be allocated to indirect costs.

Donate through your IRA
You can donate to Jocotoco from your retirement plan. The IRS allows individual retirement arrangement (IRA) owners age 70½ or over to donate up to $100,000 to not-for-profits like Jocotoco tax-free each year. These transfers are known as qualified charitable distributions or QCDs. For those who are at least 73 years old, QCDs count toward the IRA owner's required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year.
