Ecuadors Forests are Rapidly VANISHING
Ecuador has one of the worlds highest rates of deforestation and is currently estimated to be 192.000 acres per year. Ecuador also has South Americas highest population density (45 people/sq. km.) as well as the highest rate of population growth averaging around 3% in recent decades. Combined this places a high degree of development pressure on natural resources in the country.
