She is trying to raise $10,000 to help protectone of the most threatened bird species of the ChocóRegion, the enigmatic Banded Ground-cuckoo. She is joined by Esteban, her 7-year-old dog who enjoyshiking as much as Wendy does. But that's not all. Ifwe help her reach her target of $10,000 USD, shevowed to dye her hair with the colors of the Ground-Cuckoo and have its same hairdo!

The Banded Ground-cuckoo is restricted to the Chocóbio-region, the most threatened forest in Ecuador andlittle is known about this species. It is the ultimatedream of every birdwatcher to observe this very rareand endangered bird.
