Chicago Rotary Club visit

We had the pleasure to meet Pedro Cevallos-Candau, President of the Rotary Club in Chicago, which supports our reforestation program through the Rotary Club in Machala.

We had the pleasure to meet Pedro Cevallos-Candau, President of the Rotary Club in Chicago, which supports our reforestation program through the Rotary Club in Machala. Thanks to this project started in October 2019, we are planting 30,000 native trees in 30 hectares to restore the Naranjos River during the next five years. This will not only enrich the habitat, but also provide clean water for 2,800 people in the town of Saracay. World Land Trust co-finances this project as well.

The President of the Rotary Club in Chicago visited our Buenaventura Reserve and our Umbrellabird Lodge together with the staff of Rotary Club in Machala. He was impressed by our conservation projects and the biodiversity found in our reserve.
